Having lunch with my classmates

My classmates and I went to the Bebbis for tasting Swiss food on sixth of march. This restaurant is downstairs, in the Dongfang shopping center. Bebbis restaurants are a unique combination of “Happiness, Fun & Food” and represents happiness, entertainment and delightful food in a typical Swiss surrounding.

I tasted farmer roesti. This roesti with fried bacon and pork sausage, baked with cheese and topped with a fried egg. A little Swiss flag was inserted the top of each dish. I don't like this dish because it seems that it adds too much oil. There is much mash on the bottom of dish. The food that I usually eat is always with rice or flour, but farmer roesti includes mash on the bottom of dish.

This restaurant brought us to come to the countryside. A big cow model standing at the entrance of this restaurant. Tables and desks were all made by wood. We seemed to have a picnic outside. There was a flag of Switzerland in front of us. Red in the flag represents the happiness and warmth of Swiss just as the feeling this restaurant gave us. Dishes used by Swiss and pictures about Swiss life surrounding us. There were too many beer bottles put beside our table. I thought Swiss like drinking beer. At a corner, there was a frame with many army badges.

Some Chinese were eating there as we were eating. The service is good. The waiters were patient to introduce their famous food. I would recommend other people to eat there.

Go to an exhibition with my classmates

My classmates and I went to the Nanjing museum of palaeontology on march seventh. This museum located 50 meters off Jiming Temple. The reason that I chose this museum is to learn more about our Earth and widen my breath of vision. I think having a wide sphere of vision is advantageous for communication.

We saw a large globe as soon as we entered into the museum. We followed the instruction. We saw the bones of a dinosaur. There was a road up to the mountain with many fossils of Nanjing. Several pictures about the earlier life on both sides of road. After reaching the top of mountain, the museum showed us the mystery of fossil, the definition of fossils, some types of fossil, formation of fossil, and some large-scale display of fossils.

Next topic is the Precambrian that includes Earth in the solar system ,the early Earth's environment, the origin of life, and the development of early volcanic. Paleozoic era, Mesozoic era, and Kainozoic era were three following topics. The last topic was “ where do I come from?”. There is a big picture on the wall to explain it.

The most interesting artwork is a garden which includes the early creatures. The early creatures are at least 20 times bigger than current ones. I seemed to enter into the ancient world when I went into this garden. I like this feeling. I like this museum because this museum shows us the history of creature evolving and environment changing. In addition, the museum is a combination of science, knowledge, and enjoyment.
